FAQ's
What is a Registered Investment Advisor?
A Registered Investment Advisor is compensated for providing financial advice as opposed to a broker who is paid a commission for selling investment products. The RIA is working for the client as opposed to the investment firm, and has a fiduciary duty to protect the interest of the client. A broker's duty is to protect the interests of their firm.
Larger Registered Investment Advisors are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) while smaller firms are under the supervision of the state regulator. Wealth Dimensions Group, LLC is regulated by the SEC. You can view our registration on their website at www.adviserinfo.sec.gov.
What is Wealth Dimensions Group’s investment approach?
We strongly believe that the key investment decisions revolve around clearly defined goals, designing and implementing an investment plan based on those goals, and maintaining a disciplined approach. We are not in the business of selling products and we do not receive commissions on any investment product. As an asset-based fee advisor, our goals are consistent with those of the investor to preserve and grow the portfolio.
What investments are utilized in client portfolios?
We implement client portfolios primarily with exchange traded funds, mutual funds and some individual securities.
What size accounts do you manage and what are your fees?
We do our best work with clients that have investable assets in excess of $1 million. Our fees are based on a percentage of the portfolio value and vary based on the value of the account and scope of the work to be completed. Our fee schedule will be provided during our initial consultation.
Do you expect to manage a client's total portfolio?
Most clients appreciate our comprehensive approach and retain us to manage all of their investments. However, there are situations where we are willing to accept narrower assignments. These may include managing a portion of a total portfolio, a specialized financial planning analysis, or a fiduciary consulting arrangement
Where are my assets held?
Wealth Dimensions Group does not custody client assets. For your protection, all client assets are held with an independent custodian. Our primary custodian is Fidelity Investments.
